The Sinbosen DM Series is a Class D DSP-integrated active amplifier module specifically designed for active line arrays and subwoofers. It features a built-in PFC wide-voltage power supply, 48kHz DSP, an LED display, and network control capabilities, making it a leading choice for active modules in both outdoor performance and fixed installation applications. Since these active amplifier boards are mounted on the rear panels of loudspeakers, they are susceptible to corrosion from rain, dew, and moisture in open-air and outdoor environments—conditions that can easily lead to short circuits, oxidation, and component damage.
Consequently, Sinbosen has introduced a rain cover designed specifically for its active amplifier modules. Meticulously crafted from high-performance waterproof materials, this cover effectively shields the components from rain and dust. This rain cover upgrade is compatible with the entire range of Sinbosen DM active speakers—including the KA208, KA210, and KA212 active line array systems, as well as the KA18 and KA28 subwoofers. If you have previously purchased Sinbosen active KA series speakers, you may also purchase the rain covers separately; installation is simple and convenient.
Advantages of the Rain Cover:
Prevents Rain, Dew, and Wind-Driven Moisture Intrusion: Since the DM active board is mounted on the rear panel of the speaker, it is highly susceptible to rain and moisture exposure during outdoor, open-air, or rainy conditions. Installing a rain cover directly blocks water entry, thereby preventing short circuits, component burnout, and electrical leakage within the circuit board.
Moisture and Condensation Protection; Safeguards Electronic Components: Due to significant day-night temperature fluctuations outdoors, condensation frequently forms on the rear panel. This moisture can corrode the capacitors, chips, and circuitry of the DM active board—leading to premature aging, audio distortion (noise), and operational failures. The rain cover serves as an effective barrier against such moisture.
Dust and Insect Protection; Reduces Malfunctions: The cover blocks the entry of dust, airborne debris (such as cottonwood fluff), insects, and foreign objects into the amplifier module. This prevents dust accumulation and clogging of the heat sinks, avoids poor electrical contact, and ultimately extends the operational lifespan of the DM active board.
Optimized Heat Dissipation: The active board houses two large internal cooling fans to ensure uninterrupted operation. The specialized rain cover features a ventilated structure designed for heat dissipation; it prevents the unit from becoming sealed off and stifled, ensuring that the Sinbosen DM active board maintains proper thermal management and eliminating issues related to overheating protection shutdowns or sudden loss of audio output.
**Enhances Outdoor Operational Safety:** By preventing rainwater from coming into contact with high-voltage circuitry, the cover significantly reduces the risks of short circuits, electrical leakage, and other electrical safety hazards.
